Step 1. Comply with safety procedures
When operating the Medium sized concrete mixer, be sure to wear long sleeves and pants, closed toe shoes, goggles, and gloves. When the Medium sized concrete mixer is running, do not place your hands or tools inside the Medium sized concrete mixer.
Work outdoors in open areas, set up obstacles and signs to warn people of damp concrete. Do not use the concrete fixture until it is completely dry.
Step 2. Assembling the mixer
Before starting to use the Medium sized concrete mixer, make sure to set it on a horizontal surface and near the water supply. Use a dipstick to check the oil level and prepare to build a bracket. Carefully assemble the mixer and ensure that all components are securely placed together.
Step 3. Connect the drum and position it correctly
After assembling the bracket, gently tilt the mixer and insert the bracket into the rotating base. Fix the base in place using D-clamps. Before lifting the device back to its upright position, the rotating base needs to be unlocked from the mixer frame.
Step 4. Turn on the mixer power
Once safety is set, turn on the motor to power the mixer and turn on the fuel tap. Do not open the Medium sized concrete mixer while loading it.
Step 5. Correct mixing of concrete
Read the instructions provided with the cement mixture and add an appropriate amount of cement and water while the Medium sized concrete mixer is running. Overloading the Medium sized concrete mixer is dangerous and may also damage the concrete, so it is important to mix in batches according to the capacity of the mixer.
When mixing concrete, it is very important that the mixture is not too wet or too dry. If this is not achieved, your concrete will not be easy to use and may affect your project as the mixture will not dry properly.
A perfectly mixed concrete can easily move around a drum mixer, but it will not shake or break during movement. You may need to add more water or concrete mixture to achieve this.
A good suggestion is to pay attention to the way the concrete moves when the drum rotates. If it reaches the top of the mixer before falling, it indicates that the mixture is too dry. On the other hand, if it does not reach the side, it indicates that it is too wet.
Step 6. Carefully pour concrete
Depending on the type of mixer you are using, you can pour concrete directly into the mold or concrete surface, or you can pour it into a unicycle.
It is best to have two people ready to assist at any time. When pouring concrete, one person should support the unicycle or use a shovel to assist, while the other person should dump the Medium sized concrete mixer.
Slowly tilt the Medium sized concrete mixer, but the tilt angle should allow the concrete to flow out of the drum. Avoid pouring too quickly as it may cause you to lose control of the mixer or concrete.
